The Cost of Growth connects local struggles against extractivism in Serbia, Italy and Sapmi with broader debates on justice, democracy, and war. It shows how people across Europe are not only resisting false solutions, but also building alternatives - from grassroots organizing to new forms of cooperation and solidarity.

Upcoming Pre-Screenings

The Cost of Growth will be released in grassroots pre-screenings starting in Belgium on 1 October 2025, before traveling to the Netherlands and beyond. From 2026 onwards, the movie will be shown in film festivals and the film will be shown in countries around the world. Join us at the grassroots screenings and be part of the conversation on who owns the economy.
